1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cake flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, measure and sift again with baking powder. Cream butter thoroughly, Add the sugar and cream again. Add eggs, continue to cream. Add the flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Bake in a round loaf pan, 25-30 minutes at 375 degrees.
