PLAIN CAKE (5 FLAVORS) 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs, well beaten
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs which have been beaten well. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir flavoring in. Pour into greased and floured 10- inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
