3 FLAVOR POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 lb. butter, soft
6 eggs, room temp.
4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. each almond, lemon & vanilla flavoring

Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Stir in flavorings. Pour batter into well greased floured 10" tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour 45 minutes or until cake tests done.

Hi Jenny,

Pound cakes are dense and don't always use baking powder; if you prefer a lighter version of cake, you can (optionally) add a teaspoon of baking powder.
