5 - FLAVOR POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 1 stick butter 1 c. Crisco 6 eggs, 1 at a time 3 c. plain flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring 1/4 tsp. coconut flavoring Cream first 3 ingredients. Add eggs one at a time; beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Alternate putting in flour and milk. Start with flour and end with flour. Add flavorings. Fill pan 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until inserted knife comes out clean. NOTE: I use a Bundt cake pan or tube pan for making this cake. |
