GRANDMA'S APPLE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. diced apples
1 c. chopped pecans

Put into cold oven. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk

Bring to boil. Remove from heat and cool. Will thicken as it cools. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
