"NEVER - FAIL" YEAST ROLLS 
5 c. all-purpose flour
5 tbsp. sugar
5 tbsp. Crisco shortening
2 pkgs. dry yeast dissolved in 1 c. warm water
1 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water, set aside. Sift together flour, sugar and salt. Cut the shortening into this mixture with a fork. Heat milk very hot, but not boiling. Let cool to lukewarm and add to the flour mixture, along with the dissolved yeast. Do not over-knead.
