HUNGARIAN GULYAS | |
6 to 8 people 1 lg. stewing pot 3 carrots 1 green bell, finely chopped 1 red bell, finely chopped 3 med. tomatoes 2 med. white onions 3 to 4 potatoes, cubed 1 1/2 lb. cubed beef round eye roast 4 tbsp. lard 4 tbsp. Hungarian paprika Saute peppers and onions in lard with generous amount of paprika. Add tomatoes, carrots and meat. Cook for 30 minutes, then add water (1/2 full of potatoes). Add cubed potatoes. Cook on low heat for 1 hour. Salt and pepper to taste as Gulyas is cooking. NOTE: Before serving, add Nokedly noodle. |
