HOMEMADE POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. cake flour 1 c. milk 1 tsp. almond flavor 1 tsp. lemon flavor Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar; cream. Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each one. Alternate sugar and milk, beating well. Add flavor. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 hour 15 minutes. Do not open oven until almost done. |
