SHOO-FLY PIE 
PART I (for crumbs) :

1 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 round tbsp. Crisco

PART II:

1 c. King syrup
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. hot water

Save 1/2 cup crumbs for top of pie. Add to Part II, 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water. Mix Part I and Part II. Pour into a 9 inch unbaked shell. Sprinkle the top with the 1/2 cup crumbs. Bake at 425 degrees for first 10 minutes, then 350 degrees for last 30 minutes or until done.
