SHORT-CUT CORNISH PASTY 
2 unbaked pie crusts
1 pkg. frozen hash browns
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
2/3 c. milk
1 diced carrot
1 diced turnip
1 lb. lean ground beef (ground round is best)

Mix all ingredients together (except crusts). Put in bottom crust. For extra flavor, dot with butter before putting on top crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Top keep crust from burning, wrap edge with aluminum foil. Serves 4 generously.
