GERMAN MUSHROOM SALAD 
8 oz. to 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 to 4 sweet gerkin pickles, finely chopped
2 tbsp. minced onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tomato, finely chopped

Combine mushrooms, pickles, onions, garlic and tomato; toss lightly. Add oil, vinegar and sugar; toss lightly until mushrooms are well coated. Chill at least 2 hours. Serve in lettuce cups.
