1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening or butter
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix above ingredients together. Bake in greased pie tin at 375 degrees for 1/2 hour. While still warm, cut top off 1 inch from sides; remove top and dab with butter, replace top. Serve with strawberries, milk and sugar.
