APPLE CRISP 
4 c. apples (Granny Smith - hard, McIntosh - soft, Cortlandt - medium) you can use all of these or just one if you'd like
Walnuts, chopped
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter

Butter baking dish; peel and slice apples. Put in bowl; add walnuts, water, cinnamon and salt. Mix together. Put apple mixture in baking dish. In a separate bowl combine flour, sugar, and butter. Mix until crumbly. (I use hand mixer.) Put on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
