FRENCH BREAKFAST MUFFINS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly; set aside. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk in shortening mixture. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Roll in 1/2 cup melted butter then shake in paper bag containing 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
