COCONUT BON BON'S | |
CENTER: 1/4 c. butter-flavored shortening 2 c. confectioners' sugar 3 c. flaked coconut 1/8 tsp. salt 1/4 c. coffee cream 1/2 tsp. vanilla COATING: 3/4-1 lb. white chocolate (or other color chocolate) 2 tbsp. butter-flavored shortening Melt butter-flavored shortening in medium saucepan. Stir in sugar and coconut. Add along with salt, cream and vanilla. Cool to room temperature. Roll into balls. Chill 30 minutes or longer. For coating. Add buttered shortening and chocolate in small pan. Stir and cook on low heat until melted and smooth. Dip chilled centers in coating. Put in refrigerator to cool. Makes 3 dozen. |
