TASTES LIKE MOM'S CROCK-POT
CUBED STEAKS
 
2 to 3 lb. cube steaks
oil, for frying
2 (10 oz. ea.) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 env. brown gravy mix (McCormick)
1/4 cup dried onions
1 1/2 cans water (use empty soup can)

COATING:

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs (store bought)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Mix together flour, bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Roll the cube steaks in flour mixture and coat both sides. Heat oil in pan, brown cube steaks in oil, drain fat.

Put cube steaks in bottom of Crock-Pot, pour soup mixture over top. Add gravy mix, onions and water. Set Crock-Pot to LOW and cook for 6 to 7 hours.

Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans. Gravy in Crock-Pot can be used for mashed potatoes.
