CRACKLING CORN BREAD 
1/2 c. cracklings
2 c. buttermilk
3 c. self rising corn meal
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 to 1/2 c. water (enough to make a soft batter)
1 egg

Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Bake in a greased black skillet for 20 to 30 minutes.
