GRANNY'S CRACKLIN' BREAD 
2 c. plain cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. skim milk
1/2 c. water
1 egg, beaten
1/2 to 1 c. finely chopped cracklings

Heat cracklings in water until they boil. Mix cornmeal, salt, baking powder, milk and egg. Blend thoroughly. Add cracklings and water. Shape into pones and place in an iron skillet that has been greased with bacon drippings.
