DUTCH APPLE BREAD 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 tsp. butter or shortening

Sift flour. Add baking powder, salt and sugar. Sift again. Cut softened butter into dry ingredients as for pastry. Add beaten eggs and milk. Beat. Spread in 8 x 12 pan (greased). Press apple slices over top and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Bake at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes.
