FLOUR TORTILLAS 
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening

Mix well (cut shortening in flour). Add 1 cup of water or until it forms a soft ball. Knead 2 minutes. Form into 12 to 14 balls. You may put a wet towel over them while you work with the other dough. Flatten and roll out. Put on skillet. Cook both sides until they have brown spots on them. Put the tortillas on a plate between a towel to keep them warm. Yield: 12 to 14.
