GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE | |
4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate 1/4 c. butter 1 1/3 c. Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1/2 c. eggs 1/2 c. hot water 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/8 tsp. salt Pastry shell 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. flaked coconut 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate and butter. 3. In large bowl, combine Eagle Brand and chocolate mixture; mix well. 4. Add eggs, water, vanilla and salt; mix well. 5. Pour in pie crust. 6. Top nuts and coconut. 7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until center is softly set. 8. Cool. Chill 3 to 4 hours. |
