2 1/4 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/4 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg 3/4 c. buttermilk 3/4 c. pumpkin 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. white sugar Cream butter, add sugars, eggs, and pumpkin. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Add nuts and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. FROSTING: 1/2 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar Melt together. Add 1/4 cup milk. Bring to boil. Cool and beat in 1 pound powdered sugar and nuts. |
