2 sticks butter (8 oz.) 3/4 c. baking cocoa 2 c. granulated sugar 4 eggs 1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chunks 1 c. nuts, chopped (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 12 x 9-inch pan. In medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat; remove from heat and put in bowl. Add cocoa and stir until well blended. Add sugar; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, vanilla and salt, and stir just until mixed together. Do not overbeat. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts. Spread in pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Semi-sweet chocolate chips may be substituted for chunks. |
