4 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour

Melt chocolate. Microwave directions. Place chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl and microwave at High power 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

Stove Top Directions: Melt chocolate and butter in 3-quart saucepan over very low heat; stir constantly until melted.

Stir sugar into melted chocolate until well blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla until completely mixed. Mix in flour until well blended. Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes for fudgy brownies or 35 to 40 minutes for cake-like brownies. Cool in pan; cut into squares.
