APPLE BUTTER PUFF PIE 
2 eggs, separated
1 c. spicy apple butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped prunes
2/3 c. scalded milk
1 baked pie shell
1 bag marshmallows

Beat egg yolks and combine with the apple butter, lemon juice, flour, salt, and prunes in a double boiler. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly, over hot water until thick and smooth. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into apple mixture, then pour into the pie shell. Place a ring of marshmallows, set close together, around outer edge of pie. Place 1 marshmallow in the center. Bake at 400 degrees until marshmallows are browned.
