SCONES 
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk or cream

Mix dry ingredients together, cut in butter. Break 2 eggs into bowl, remove and hold 2 tablespoons egg whites. Beat eggs with milk. Mix together. Pat or roll out dough to 3/4 inch thick. Cut into triangle shapes. Mix held egg whites (2 tablespoons) with 1 tablespoon water. Brush top of scones with egg whites, sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve hot.
