CUSTARD PIE 
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs, well beaten
Ground nutmeg
1 (9") unbaked pastry shell

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In medium bowl, combine sweetened milk, water, salt and vanilla. Add eggs and mix well. Pour into pie shell; sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake 10 minutes and reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 20-25 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool to room temperature and chill.

Variation: Using 1 (3 1/2 ounce) can flaked coconut. Stir 1 cup coconut into custard mixture. Toast the remaining 1/3 cup to garnish the chilled pie.
