Pearl onions, as many as needed; peel, put on square of oil large enough to hold onions with plenty of room to fold up and make a tight.
Dot onions with butter. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with garlic powder. Seal, put in pie pan (to catch any drips) and bake about 30 minutes or so until soft to touch. Can put in oven with baked potatoes about halfway through potato baking time. Garlic done the same way is also delicious, especially with a steak, salad and hot buttered French bread.
