JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
4 eggs
1/3 c. orange juice
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. vanilla
5-7 lg. apples, peeled, cored and sliced thinly
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Peel, core and slice apples. Mix together flour, sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, baking powder and vanilla. In small separate bowl mix together sugar and cinnamon.

Place 1/2 batter in large (slightly greased) tube pan (or Bundt pan). Spread 1/2 apple slices over batter and sprinkle with 1/2 cinnamon-sugar mixture. Pour the rest of the batter over the apples and use remaining apples on top. Sprinkle with rest of cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 10-12.
