1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 c. dry oatmeal
2 c. flour
6 tbsp. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. red candied cherries, chopped
1/2 c. green candied cherries, chopped

Cream butter, eggs and sugar. Add sweet milk gradually and flour, which has been sifted with soda and cinnamon. Add oatmeal, nuts and cherries. Garnish with slices of red and green cherries. Bake at 375 degrees until brown. Makes 5 or 6 dozen.
