EASY CROCK POT LASAGNA
I swear this works and in a large Crock-Pot, the cooking time is even slower.

1 lb. beef chuck or 1/2 chuck and 1/2 ground turkey
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 (28 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (your favorite)
1/3 cup water
8 lasagna noodles
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can mushrooms
1 (15 oz.) carton ricotta cheese (optional)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Brown meat and seasoning, drain.

Mix spaghetti sauce and water. Place 4 uncooked noodles in lightly greased Crock-Pot.

Layer with beef mixture, sauce and mushrooms. Spread evenly with ricotta cheese and sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella.

Layer with remaining noodles, meat, sauce mixture, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.

Cover, cook on high 1 hour. Reduce heat and cook on low 5 hours.

Makes 4 servings.

I love this recipe. I use Kraft Italian cheese mix, and a little sharp cheddar. I also mix a raw egg in with the ricotta. It helps it set up nicely. My family love pepperonis in it. Also a tip, I stretch a paper towel out under the lid so that it browns up on top nicely.

Easy to make, I put in a bit more sauce and cooked it for one hour on high, and 4 on low, came out perfect!!

Mine was done early and I had to add extra water while it was cooking. I used regular lasagna noodles. I think next time I will cook it on low the entire time.

I make this all of the time in the winter for our snowmobile races it is a big hit! I use lean hambugar and jimmy dean sauage (mild or hot) it gives it that extra zip! Make sure to use the ricotta cheese it makes it really creamy. Enjoy!

It was the best lasagna I have ever made, I did not put mushrooms in it and added green peppers and onions. The best.

I also use oven ready lasagna noodles and instead of ricotta chese I use a jar of alfredo sauce, layering noodles, marinara, alfredo and so on, topping with mozzarella. I cook low for 4 hours in crock pot.

Very easy recipe and a great idea.. I love Crock Pot cooking since I live in an RV..thanks! but... It was a bit too bland for our tastes so next time I'm going to use hot Italian sausage with the turkey or maybe adding Rotel to the sauce. My husband thought it was a little "dry" so for the left overs I made up a spicy spaghetti sauce to pour over and he loved it!

This is the easiest and the most delicious lasagna ever! It tastes just like a home made lasagna but without the work! I've made it for multiple parties and everyone always asks for the recipe.

Try using the oven ready (pre cooked, but dry) lasagna. I did and it cut the cooking time in half. But I did have a problem with the lid sweating, so I took off the lid for the last hour.
