JEAN'S REAL MISSISSIPPI MUD PIE 
Crust may stick if using glass or ceramic pans. Metal baking pans seem to work best.

LAYER 1 - CRUST:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened but not melted
1 cup chopped pecans

Mix together crust ingredients - flour, sugar, butter, and pecans. Spoon and smooth into bottom of 9x13-inch metal pan.

Bake for 20 minutes 325°F. Let cool completely.

LAYER 2:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup whipped topping from large container (Cool Whip)
1 cup powdered sugar

Mix together LAYER 2 ingredients - softened cream cheese, whipped topping and powdered sugar. Spoon and smooth evenly onto crust, once it has cooled completely.

LAYER 3:

3 cups milk
1 (5 oz.) box chocolate instant pudding
1 (5 oz.) box vanilla instant pudding

Mix together LAYER 3 ingredients - milk, chocolate pudding mix, vanilla pudding mix. DO NOT follow the directions on the pudding box!! Spoon and smooth evenly onto layer 2.

LAYER 4:

remaining whipped topping from large container

Smooth remaining whipped topping onto layer 3.

Refrigerate and serve.
