HONEY GINGERBREAD | |
1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1 egg, well beaten 1/2 c. water or milk 1/2 c. honey 1/4 c. melted shortening Sift first 8 ingredients together. Combine egg, milk, honey and shortening. Combine liquid and dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into greased (9 x 12 inch) pan and bake in slow oven at 325 degrees about 40 minutes. |
