HONEY WALNUT CAKE 
3/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. honey
1 c. walnut, chopped
1 c. hot water

TOPPING:

3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/3 c. honey
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9 inch pan with Pam. Cream together shortening, vanilla, sugar and egg. Add dry ingredients, honey and walnuts. Mix thoroughly. Quickly stir in hot water; mixing well. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until tests done. Mix topping ingredients and spoon over hot cake. Set under broiler and broil until light brown. Watch carefully! Delightful.
