1/2 lb. popcorn
1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup (Karo)
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello

Pop the corn according to package directions and put into a large bowl.

Bring sugar, syrup and jello to a boil in a saucepan, stirring until sugar and jello are dissolved. Pour over popcorn; mix until popcorn is completely covered. Form balls quickly with buttered hands; place on waxed paper to cool.

Makes 18 balls (or more depending on size).

Variation: Red and green jello can be used to make Christmas popcorn balls.
