CREOLE CHILI BEANS 
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 (1 lb.) cans kidney beans
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2-3 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 bay leaf
1 c. water
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. chopped green pepper

Cook onion in oil until tender, add meat, and brown lightly. Add beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, seasonings, water, celery, and green pepper. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour.
