DILLY CUCUMBERS 
1 seedless cucumber
1 sm. onion
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cold water
1 to 2 tbsp. minced fresh dill or 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Score cucumber lengthwise with fork, if desired; cut crosswise into thin slices. Slice onion crosswise and separate into rings. Place cucumbers and onion in pint glass jar. Combine vinegar, sugar, water, dill, salt and pepper in small saucepan. Bring to boil; pour over vegetables. Cover and chill. Yields 2 cups. Keep in refrigerator. Very good with meats.
