SWISS PORK CHOPS 
2 tbsp. cooking oil
3 to 4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. minced onion
8 pork chops
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
2 tsp. salt

Brown pork chops in cooking oil. Combine remaining ingredients in a 3 quart casserole. Place pork chops in sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until brown.

The recipe doesn't specify how thick the pork chops should be, but I'm guessing they should be VERY THICK, if they're supposed to be browned and then cooked an additional hour and a half! I used 3/4 inch boneless chops and thank goodness I set the timer for 15 minutes, because otherwise they'd have been ruined. At 15 minutes, they were already a little overdone.
