CANTONESE - OVEN BARBECUED RIBS | |
2 to 3 lbs. country style ribs 1/4 c. granulated sugar or honey 1/4 c. chicken stock 2 tbsp. catsup 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. molasses 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar (or honey), catsup, soy sauce, molasses, salt, pepper and chicken stock. Pour over meat. Place in ziploc freezer bag. Refrigerate 8 hours, turning at least once. Place on rack with 1 cup cold water in drip pan underneath. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Turn ribs over after 45 minutes and baste with sauce several times. Cut into single ribs before serving. |
