MAMA'S SECRET-RECIPE HOMEADE TUNA CASSEROLE | |
4-5 cups tuna 2 cups fish oil 1/2 cup of cornmeal 2 lbs anchovies 1 tomato 2 cups saltine crackers 1 onion 1 garlic clove hot sauce (optional) blender or food processor square pan 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil 1/2 cup shredded blue cheese Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil and cornmeal. Layer cornmeal mixture on bottom of pan. Layer on tuna. In a food processor, grind crackers into very fine crumbs; remove from processor. Process anchovies, tomato, garlic and onion until a smooth sauce is obtained. Spread a layer of anchovy sauce and top with a layer of crumbs. Sprinkle with blue cheese and hot sauce.
