WORLD CLASS CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. & 2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. chocolate chips

In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine sugars. Add shortening; blend. Add vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool on brown paper bags or paper towels. Allow cookie sheet to cool between batches.
