SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. veal
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 egg
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 onion, grated

Mix above ingredients. Roll in small balls, brown well, but slowly so not to burn in oil or shortening.

Add small amount of water; cover and simmer for at least 1/2 hour. May make gravy if wanted, but not necessary. My family prefers them without.
