BAKED MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
8 oz. elbow macaroni 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 2 c. milk 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Cook macaroni according to package directions. Melt butter in saucepan; remove from heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in milk gradually. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer 1 minute. Remove sauce from heat. Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese and macaroni. Pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until brown. Yield: 6 servings. |
