OVEN FISH CHOWDER 
2 lbs. white fish fillets
4 potatoes
1 bay leaf
4 cloves
1/4 tsp. dill weed
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 stick butter
3 onions, sliced
2 c. boiling water
1 pt. half and half

Put all ingredients (except cream) in large casserole. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for one hour. Remove from oven and stir. Scald 1 pint cream and add to chowder. Mix well.

I doctor this up a bit -- add corn,bacon, even sometimes butternut squash -- might as well have the stew complete with veggies - a one pot meal!
