PARTY SALAD | |
1/2 lb. fresh spinach, wash and drain well 6 hard boiled eggs, chopped 1/2 lb. baked ham, slivered 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, slivered (or Mozzarella) 1 sm. head lettuce, wash, drain and shred 1 pack frozen peas, thaw (don't cook) 1 sm. red onion, peel and slice thin 1 c. sour cream 1 pt. mayonnaise 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled Layer in large glass bowl - spinach (tear in pieces). Sprinkle with salt and pepper and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Layer chopped eggs, ham and cheese. Layer lettuce - sprinkle with salt, pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Sprinkle peas over top. Spread with onion slices. Mix mayonnaise with sour cream and spread on top. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. DO NO TOSS - Serve portions dishing to the bottom. |
