3 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk Pinch of salt 1 1/2 c. broken walnuts 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/4 c. red candied cherries; optional 1/4 c. green candied cherries; optional Line an 8 inch square baking pan with waxed paper or aluminum foil. In a heavy 2 quart saucepan, combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, and salt. Cook over low heat until chips melt. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts, vanilla, and candied cherries (if desired). Spread mixture evenly into lined pan. Refrigerate 2 hours, or until firm. Cut into squares. |
