FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
4 lg. onions, sliced crosswise 1/4" thick
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
Fine crumbs

Separate onion slices into rings. Heat fat to 375 degrees. Beat milk and egg together. Dip onion rings in flour, then in egg mixture and then in crumbs. Shake and fry in preheated fat about 3 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Season with salt. Serve hot.
