FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
6 Bermuda onions
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. cooking oil

Cut onions 1/4 inch thick; mix remaining ingredients for batter. Coat onions with batter and fry at 375 degrees until golden brown.
