R.I.'S BUTTERSCOTCH SQUARES 
1 c. butter
4 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter add sugar and beat until blended. Cool to lukewarm and add slightly beaten eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients then vanilla. Bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Yields 6 dozen 2 inch squares.
