ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tbsp. white Karo syrup
3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Chopped roasted almonds
Giradelli chocolate squares

Boil first four ingredients to 290 degrees. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1/4 cup nuts, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir.
